Emergency Loan Program for Small Indigenous Businesses

Strict restrictions imposed on everyday operations in order to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus have severely affected the economy. This has hugely impacted the operational and financial flow of small indigenous businesses.

In order to support small indigenous businesses with operational cash flow, the Government of Canada started The Emergency Loan Program (ELP) – a component of the Indigenous Business Stabilization Program.

Emergency Loan Program Benefit:

  • Offers a maximum assistance of $40,000. (75% loan and 25% non-repayable contribution)
  • Loan and contribution will be issued together
